Be more like Louie.
What you don't know about Louie Anderson and me is that we created a morning show together.
I didn't mention it because it was an experiment. We weren't sure what it would look like or when we'd launch it, but we taped a few episodes and segments to see how we felt.
A few days after Louie died, after feeling the many waves of emotion that come with losing someone special, I looked back at our morning show footage.
It reminded me: (1) how much fun we had together (2) how very easily we fell into a relaxed, genuine friendship and (3) how frustrating it was at times, because even as friends on the same wavelength, two people aren't always 100% in sync.
Now, looking back, I'm JOYFUL that I had the chance to do this with him. Louie was a bright light that made my life more radiant. I'm eternally grateful.
