I see the light!

I confess. I’ve spent entirely too much time in the sun. As a lifelong sun lover, I’ve damaged my skin and put my health at risk. Last year, I had a wake-up call. I saw the light. No more sun worshipping! Now, sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat and a few skin treatments to erase some of the damage.

I saw a top New York City dermatologist, Dr. Dendy Engelman, for a series of IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments with Stellar M22 from Lumenis.

Check out my results below.

AFTER

My treatment details:

  • I had 4 treatments, 6-8 weeks apart.

  • They took between 3-5 minutes each.

  • Dr. Dendy ran a wand over my chest and face, which sent tiny light pulses to my skin to refresh and rejuvenate it.

  • After I left her office, I looked normal, with rosy cheeks. An hour or so later, you’d never know I had a treatment. In the next few weeks, my sun spots gradually faded away.

  • I stayed out of the sun before and after each treatment. Once I made a mistake — I went on vacation in Florida and even though I kept reapplying sunscreen, my chest still got color. When I showed up in Dr. Dendy’s office a couple of weeks later, she gave me one look and said, “Where were you on vacation?” She said, “I’m sorry but we can’t do your chest today. It won’t work and can leave you with new spots and damage.” I appreciated her concern and advice, and I delayed treatment until well after my next vacation, about four weeks.

  • Now I protect my chest and face by applying sunscreen all the time, even before my early-morning walks with my black Lab, Stella. I’d never want to ruin what Dr. Dendy and the Stellar M22 did for me.

  • My advice to you? Lube up, wear a hat, and visit Dr. Dendy for a Stellar M22 photorejuvenation treatment!
